Golden Rule Poster – Multifaith Education Australia

The Golden Rule Poster is now being distributed in multiple languages for Educators. There are 13 religions on the poster.

The multifaith Golden Rule Poster has gained international renown as an educational and interfaith resource. One of the contributing factors to this development is Ambassador Mussie Hailu, an internationally renowned activist in the fields of interfaith, human dignity, peace-building and the golden rule. Mussie is based in Ethiopia and has produced a variation of the Scarboro Missions Golden Rule poster, circulating 2.5 million copies of the poster across Africa and around the world. The overwhelming majority of these posters are in English but a minority of them are in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia.

THE GOLDEN RULE
The Golden Rule – treat others as you would like them to treat you – also known as the Ethic of Reciprocity, has been valued by human societies for thousands of years and is found worldwide throughout cultures, religions, secular philosophies and indigenous traditions. It reveals a profound unity underlying the rich diversity of human experience. With its emphasis on mutuality, interdependence and reciprocity, it is a simple but effective guide for respectful and harmonious co-existence.
