The Asia Education Foundation has provided a virtual cultural tour of several temples and places of worship in East Java, Malaysia. The tour is curated by high school students, in English.
Innovation has always been at the heart of our BRIDGE School Partnerships Program. Now, this international community of learners is finding even more creative ways to collaborate remotely during #COVID19.
Students from SMP Darul Ulum 1 Unggulan Peterongan Jombang in East Java connected with their 🇦🇺 friends from their BRIDGE partner school, Newton Moore Senior High School, in Western Australia.
Using video footage, the students in East Java hosted a virtual tour of local temples in their community, sharing stories and historical facts about the temple sites – just like professional tour guides!
The virtual tour has helped the Australian and Indonesian students stay connected and continue to learn about each other’s cultures from a distance. Such a great idea!
