Freedom of Religion and Belief – Written Resources

The Freedom of Religion or Belief Learning Platform provides resources to help individuals, communities and decision-makers learn, reflect upon and promote freedom of religion or belief for all. It includes resources for personal study and for educators and facilitators to use in group trainings. The core resources have been developed in dialogue with specialists and with reference people from a range of religious and belief backgrounds.

Here you can find interactive, experience based group exercises and other resources to help you design and lead group learning. The exercises aim to build positive attitudes towards and knowledge about freedom of religion or belief as a human right for all, although many adapted and used to build knowledge of other human rights too. The resources can be used with a wide range of target audiences from the grassroots to decision makers. Do remember to adapt the exercises to your audience and context, including any risk factors.

Written resources
Sometimes it’s good to have information in writing! Here we’ve gathered a range of learning resources connected to the three themes (introductory learning, access to justice, working to promote the right). Helpful to read yourself or as hand-outs or discussion materials for a training. Some resources are available in languages other than English.
